Memorial Day Weekend

Saturday was a beautiful day.  We slept in a bit and then did some work around the house.  I went out and did my 21 mile loop on the single speed.  Had a good ride.  Will need to come up with a route for Monday to ride with JJ.  They laid down a lot of fresh gravel on this route that I think would be difficult for JJ.   We headed for mom's later in the day.  We had La Pizza and then went and put the flower arrangement on dad's grave as part of our Memorial Day.     We then went to the Auburn Park to see if Dad's paver had been engraved yet.  It had not.  They have a very nice Veteran's Memorial.   Hoping they let us know when it is done.   We also planted a couple plants at mom's to finish up a space in her backyard.  We had a nice visit and got home around 10pm.   More riding and yard work are in store for Sunday and Monday.  Look for another post on Monday evening.   ...

Another Busy Weekend

Friday afternoon came around and the weekend started.  Michelle went to Sam's Club and I went to Menard's.  I picked up a 10x20 pop up.  We will use it for Church Camp and other special events.  I made a quick stop at Walmart and was on my way home.  I made to mom and dad's in time to get Brendan off the bus.  We got home and Brendan did his homework.  We then had time to play (work)! I started laundry and was waiting for Michelle to get home.  Michelle called and JJ locked his keys in his truck.  I looked around and did not find them.  Michelle got home and we started to look again.  Michelle found the keys in a spot I had already checked.  So we made the decision to get JJ's keys out of his truck and eat at Bagger Dave's.   Good burger and a Two Hearted Ale!   After eating we went home and took it easy for the evening.   Saturday came and around noon I went out on a ride while Michelle and Brenda...

Happy Mother's Day!

Our celebration of Mother's Day started on Saturday.  We brought mom out to the house for the day.  On the way to the house I forgot to turn off onto I-675 and went over the Zilwaukee Bridge.  Mom hates bridges so that will be something she talks about for a while.   Mom and me.   On the way home Michelle rode with us and we stopped at Dad's grave.  We then stopped at the Veterans Memorial at the Auburn Park. Mom wants to get a paver for Dad.  So I found the Facebook site and sent a message.  We will be applying for a Paver this week.  Mom was very happy by the time the day was over.   On Sunday we went to church and had a nice service.     Michelle and the boys.   In the evening we had the family over for Mother's Day Dinner.  We had a great meal and time with everyone.   Sherry and her kids!   One of the best Mother's Days yet.   God Bless all the mom's...

The Weekend and the Week(s) Ahead

As always we had a busy weekend. Michelle took Friday off and started on the updating of Brendan's bedroom.  She started to paint the room and I put in his new light after I got.  I also started on laundry.  Saturday morning came early and Michelle and Brendan headed for Clio for the Clio cleanup.  The church participates every year and the kids from the church that help out get $10 in quarters at church camp for the arcade.  They get pizza after working for lunch also.  Brendan then went to Kids Storm at the Bible Baptist Church with grandma. I stayed home and waited for Sears to show up and work on the wood chipper.  They got here close to 12:00pm.  We thought we blew the engine on it.  The repairman worked on it and it is running again.  Good thing we got the extended warranty!  This is going to help us get the yard cleaned up.  Speaking of the I worked in the yard and then we headed to Clio. We went to the Black Horse T...

Trampoline!

Last weekend Michelle and I picked up a trampoline at Meijer.  They had a great deal on MPerks so we bought it.  On Wednesday Michelle's dad and brother came over and put it together when we were at work.  Brendan was very excited and jumped in as soon as it was finished.  Michelle brought pizza home and we all had dinner together.  Michelle, her mom and I then went for a little walk to work off the pizza.  We had a really nice evening. Micah and Brendan jumping together.
