October Thoughts

With October nearing the end I want to cover some things that I have missed this month. Brendan Turns 10: On the 10th Brendan turned 10.  We had a small party on Saturday with 3 of his friends.  They played video games and built Lego's.  We got pizza and an ice cream cake.  They had a lot of fun.  The weather was not the best so I watched the Michigan game in the basement.  On Sunday we had the family party.  Soup, sandwiches and cake were on the menu.  I had to many appetizers and did not eat much. Ice Cream Cake. Candles are lit. The Happy Birthday boy! Cool iCam:  At Peak 2 Peak I used the new POV camera and am very impressed.  It is 720p resolution and is very clear with good picture quality.  Ease of use is great.  There is an on button and a record bar that slides forward to record.  With both functions there is a tone and the camera vibrates to indicate it is on and recording.  There is...

Peak 2 Peak

So we are a week out from Peak 2 Peak at Crystal Mountain. A great time was had by all. We left town around 1:30pm on Friday afternoon and got to Crystal right around 5pm.  We checked into our room and moved our stuff in.  We had one of the Wintergreen Condos for the weekend.  It was really nice!  Plenty of room for everyone.  I changed clothes and headed out for a little ride.  The course was not completely marked and I ended up heading back on the wrong trail. I was the first up in the morning and got coffee going and had a little breakfast.  While the others were getting moving I got JJ's and my bike ready for the race.  I ...

It is October!

Fall is officially here and I need to update things here.  I had to send my laptop in to get repaired.  Thank you Sam's Club for the extended warranty.  It caused me to move my photos and videos over to my external hard drive.  My computer runs a lot faster now.  Service was great.  From time of claim to getting the computer back it was 8 days.  Very impressive for having to send it out via UPS. Last Saturday Raymond and I went to Cadillac for the first Bear Claw Epic mountain bike race held at the Cadillac Pathway.  It was a very well organized race and a great course.  Nearly 2,000 feet of climbing in 23 miles.  I rode the Farley and it was a blast.  The downhills were really fast and the Farley with the Bluto just ate them up.  I got second place in Sport Clydesdale and Raymond won his Sport age group. Starting Line 2nd Sport Clydesdale Nice Awards 1st Place 45-49 I was supposed to test out my new P...
