Barry-Roubaix is a gravel road race held the third Saturday of March. This year was the fifth edition of the race. I had started training January 1st for the race. At one point I had decided that I was not going to do the race. Then Michelle wanted to go scrapbooking on the same weekend as the race so I decided to register for the race. I had done the race the first year they did it and had not been able to return since. Due to our strange winter I did not get much training time outside until the last couple of weekends leading up to the race. I did make good use of the couple decent days that I had and put in some good miles. My longest ride was around 25 miles. The bike and I ready for training. I had been following the weather and reports on how the roads would be for race day. It was looking like it could be a very muddy mess as the roads in Barry County were still covered in snow and ice. Time would tell....
